ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "There are one hundred degrees1 in Paradise; every two are one hundred years apart." 1) People will enter different degrees of Paradise or the Fire according to the degree of their good deeds and their sins. A good authentic ḥadīth reported by at-Tirmithī: "the Book of Describing Paradise", in Sunan at-Tirmithī: ḥadīth number 2721, narrated by Abū-Hurayrah ad-Dawsī. ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب الصلاة باب ما جاء فى الركعتين بعد الظهر

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِى الشَّعْثَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ فِى طُهُورِهِ إِذَا تَطَهَّرَ وَفِى تَرَجُّلِهِ إِذَا تَرَجَّلَ وَفِى انْتِعَالِهِ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. وَأَبُو الشَّعْثَاءِ اسْمُهُ سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَسْوَدَ الْمُحَارِبِىُّ.
‘Ā'ishah related that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, liked to start with the right side for purification whenever he purified himself, for combing his hair and beard whenever he combed them, and for putting on his shoes whenever he put them on.
